Kids Park (formerly SKIwee)

SKIwee is now known as Kids Park and for children ages 4 - 11. They love our high energy, creative lessons that make learning fun while teaching safety. The children's program has more then doubled in the last 3 years. Our expanded Kids Park area conveyor lift and building created a perfect environment for the children to learn to ski or ride. You can purchase lesson sessions next door at the North Lodge. Advanced level children practice with their instructors on other appropriate slopes on the mountain. The instructors are outstanding!

Kids Park Sessions: Weekends and Holidays
Session Time: 10 a.m. to Noon or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.	$35 (includes lift ticket)
Rental equipment for the entire day (if needed)	$26

KIDS PARK 4--SESSION WEEKEND LESSON

Parents here for a weekend or holiday, with children ages 4-11 can enroll them in a 4-session program for 2 days. Morning session is 10 a.m. to Noon and afternoon session is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Children have lunch with their parents and rejoin with them after the 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. session. Each session is progressive depending on the initial skills and ability level of the child. Children meet with the same instructor each session allowing for a more comfortable and friendly setting. Reservations are required. Call Sundown at 563-556-6676 for reservations. Weekends and holidays only.

LEARN-TO-SKI & LEARN-TO-RIDE PROGRAMS

Children ages 4 - 11, meet with their instructor twice a week for 2 weeks. After completing all 4 lessons, children receive a free night of skiing or boarding and a complimentary membership in the Kids Club. Contact the Group Office at (563) 556-6676 (extension 143) or via E-Mail. Payment and registration must be received at least one week prior to the start of the program.

KIDS' CLUB

Sundays and Thursdays after 2 p.m. are special days for kids! Skiers/boarders in grades 4, 5, & 6 who can stop and turn on the slopes are eligible for membership in the Sundown Mountain Kids Club. Membership fee is $18. The focus of the Kids Club is safety and responsibility. One safety meeting must be attended on your first visit.

PARENTAL GUIDES AND TIPS FOR CHILDREN

First and foremost you want your child's experience on the slopes to be fun and safe. The following tips can make your child's adventure on the slopes memorable and enjoyable.

Most children gain confidence quickly and feel success. You can enhance their experience:

	Have your children view the ski/board lesson on our web site before they come
	Purchase your child's lesson session at the North Lodge, located next to the Kids Park building, in plenty of time to register and meet with the instructor before the session starts and tell your child you will meet them there after their session is over.
	Children are naturally curious and anxious to learn. Try to keep the whole experience as a family adventure.
	Dress in layers. As your children get warmer, or colder throughout the day, it is easy to adjust the number of layers they are wearing. Cotton clothing will absorb moisture and stay wet (and cold). An additional dry pair of socks, gloves/mittens, etc. will help. Please label their personal items. --Medium weight (athletic) wool socks. --Long Johns or nylon warm up pants. --Winter jacket or parka. --Tight knit hat or cap. --Warm mittens with water resistant cover and a long cuff. --Sunglasses or goggles for sunny days. --Sunscreen or chapstick.
	Stop at the North lodge to warm up and have some hot chocolate by the fire.

SUNDOWN SHRED CREW

The Sundown Shred Crew Club is open to:

Guys and girls 4th thru 8th Grade
Skiers & Riders
Season Pass Holders
and Kid's Club Members Only

We meet on Sundays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm in the South Lodge
Many exciting events will be scheduled throughout the season.
Membership for Season Passholders is $15 for the Season!
Membership for Kids Club Members is Free – but you must also sign up thru Shred Crew.To sign up or for more information contact Deborah at 563-556-6676 Ext. 144.
