Ancient glaciers missed Sundown. Our highest lift is greater than all lifts in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota up to Duluth, and all but 2 in Wisconsin. From the top of the mountain, you can view hundreds of square miles of beautiful scenery.

BEAUTIFUL SLOPES
Countless skiers and riders return year after year to enjoy the snow conditions, vertical, 21 trails, 2 terrain parks, 6 lifts with shorter lift lines, all carved out of a beautiful century old cedar forest reminiscent of Colorado.

WE ARE GREEN AND MUCH MORE
Over 130 of our energy saving snow guns use a costly additive instead of air compressors to manufacture champagne snow that grooms better and resists icing. We have a FREE ski corral, FREE timed racing, 2 progressive terrain parks, preset rentals for groups of 25, live music and frequent barbeques on Saturdays. The popular Kids Park building is expanding again. Historic Dubuque is a great place to overnight.

A GREAT 2 REGION SEASON PASS
Our season pass is $285 thru Nov. 13, 2011. It is the greatest value in the region. When used just 7 weekends, the daily cost is just $20, and it is valid at Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho. LESSONS
Learning to ski or ride is one of the quickest and most rewarding experiences you will ever have and you can enjoy winter for a lifetime. Our 120-instructor team is the largest in the region. Two have been nationally recognized. Over 25 years we have developed a very special station teaching program that is easy, safe and fun. We use shorter shaped equipment, 1-1/2 hour lessons (50% longer than most areas) and each person can advance through 8 graduated slope stations at their own comfort level with conveyor and chairlift service. Most first time skiers discover they can safely go down our 6 easiest trails and return with a big smile up the highest vertical chairlift in the region before the lesson is over.

ADVANCED SKI LESSONS
Once you have mastered the beginner lesson, you can take an advanced lesson to graduate from wedge or snowplow turns to parallel turns and beyond, at the same group price.
