2025-2026 SRT PROGRAM DETAILS
- Children ages 5 & older
- Practices are Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:15-8:30pm with coaching, drills, and gate time
- 4 weekend WIJARA Races each season with individual and team medals/awards
- PLUS: Iowa Winter Games is part of our program. SRT will cover the entry fee for Iowa Winter Games: Alpine Racing (both Slalom and Giant Slalom). Saturday, January 31, 2026
- $315 per racer includes coaching for all practices. Family discount applies: For each additional child, take $50 off (e.g. $315 for first child, $265 for second child, $215 for third child, $165 for fourth child, $115 for fifth child, and $65 for sixth child…)
- $54 WIJARA registration fee per racer
- Must be able to ski intermediate & advanced hills in control, without assistance (This is not a learn-to-ski program)
- Must be able to load & unload chairlifts (or parents will be expected to ski with racer to assist)
- Racers need skis (no twin tips), boots, and hard-sided helmets (required to race per WIJARA ski racing regulations). All other racing gear is optional.
- Sundown Mountain Junior Race Team is a proud member of WIJARA (Wisconsin/Illinois/Iowa Junior Alpine Racing Association)

Sundown Mountain, Chestnut Mountain, Tyrol Basin, Cascade Mountain, Snowstar, Hidden Valley, Blackhawk, Four Lakes, & Wilmot
- Chestnut Mountain – January 10-11, 2026
- Sundown Mountain – January 24-25, 2026
- Devil’s Head (hosted by Blackhawk) – February 7-8, 2026
- Cascade Mountain – February 28 – March 1, 2026
